Courses / Skills Programs Available:

Duct Work Installation

Entry Requirements:

Basic literacy and numeracy.


Duct work installation covers safety, tooling, various types on hangers, joining methods and insulation. We look at common mistakes made and what constitutes good practice including relevant quality standards to duct work installations.


On completion of the course the student will have theoretical understanding and practical skills which cover duct joints, application of sealant and application of insulation, hangers and fixing methods, application of rust preventative coatings.

Examples of Skills:

Duct work installation processes, jointing, sealing, first fix, anchors and mounting methods, pressure testing, inspections, final fix, insulation, types and fixing, adherence to relevant standards.
